Senior Pastor
Pastor Sam is the youngest of five children and grew up deeply immersed in ministry, inspired by his father, who has faithfully pastored for over 50 years. In 2010, Sam married his wife, Emily, and together they are proud parents to three wonderful sons: William, Jackson, and Caleb.
With over a decade of ministry experience, Pastor Sam has served in various capacities, including worship and youth pastor, associate pastor, and senior pastor. He holds a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies from Regent University, equipping him with a solid foundation for teaching and leadership.
In 2023, Sam and Emily answered God’s call to move from Wisconsin to Georgia, embarking on a new chapter of ministry. Sam is passionate about connecting with others and serving in all aspects of ministry. When he’s not serving the church, you’ll find him enjoying his hobbies: playing guitar, hitting the softball field, or simply spending quality time with his family.

EMILY HALL
Administrator
Emily joined the Rock Creek family in 2023 when her husband, Sam, became Senior Pastor. Over the past decade, Emily has served in a variety of church roles, including women’s ministries, children’s ministries, media content creation, administrative work, and worship team. Her diverse experience reflects her heart for service and her willingness to step into any area of need. Currently, Emily serves as Church Administrator.

LEON HOLDEN
Worship and Youth Leader
Leon is a passionate worship leader and servant of Christ, dedicated to creating spaces where people can encounter the presence of God through music, prayer, and community. With a heart for authentic worship and a deep love for the local church, Leon has been serving in worship and youth ministry’s for over 15 years.
Leon holds a Bachelor of Theology degree from Macedonia Bible College. Leon leads with humility, skill, and a desire to see lives transformed by the Holy Spirit. Whether mentoring worship teams, writing songs, or leading congregations in praise, he strives to point every heart toward Jesus.
In addition to ministry, Leon is a partner of Wayne Frier Homes of Albany, and enjoys spending quality time with his family, songwriting, and connecting with others over a good cup of coffee. His mission is to glorify God and make disciples through worship, word, and witness.

CHERYL VINSON
Director of Family Ministries
Cheryl Vinson serves as our Director of Family Ministries. Cheryl and her husband Jason are proud parents to two daughters, Britney and Kayla, and grandparents to their granddaughter, Baylee.
Cheryl has over 15 years of experience in Family Ministries, Pastoral Care, and leadership roles in both nonprofit organizations and church ministries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling from Colorado Theological Seminary. In addition to her role at Rock Creek, Cheryl serves with NorthPoint Christian Counseling & United Way. Cheryl’s dedication to faith, family, and ministry is the foundation of her service, and she is honored to lead and nurture families within our community.

KELLI PLANT
Kid's Church Lead
Kelli serves as the Kid's Church Lead at Rock Creek Church, bringing over a decade of experience in children's and student ministries. She has a deep passion for helping young people grow in their faith and has served in various roles, including teacher and Student Ministry Director. Kelli creates a joyful, Christ-centered environment where children feel loved, engaged, and encouraged to grow in their relationship with Jesus. In the classroom, Kelli fosters a welcoming space filled with laughter, learning, and the love of Christ—dedicated to discipleship.
She and her husband, Drew, joined RCC in 2024 along with their two sons, Griffin and Nate. Outside of church, Kelli is the owner of Candler’s Hair Company.

LINDSEY HYSLOP
Mid-week Kid's Lead
Lindsey serves as the Mid-week Kid’s Lead at Rock Creek, where she provides leadership and oversight for our Wednesday evening children’s ministry. With a Bachelor of Arts in English and a teaching certification, Lindsey brings over ten years of classroom experience to her role. She currently teaches 8th Grade English Language Arts at Georgia Cyber Academy. Lindsey is passionate about creating a Christ-centered, welcoming environment where children can grow in their faith, build friendships, and develop a love for God’s Word. She and her husband, Eric, have one daughter, Ava.
